@ Xxain .... why? if I found out I was adopted I couldn't care less, I know who my parents are, and they would be the people who brought me up. and I wouldn't be angry at my biological parents as I am happy.

What does that teach???.....have unprotected sex, get pregnant, get rid of it, repeat???

Its REALLY not that simple, you realise there is a whole 9 months of suffering on the mothers part, and then "the most painful experience of your life" to cap it off. I'm sure they won't be eager to step up for round 2.

Have you ever been pregnant, suffering? Really? Come on now.

as a matter of fact!... well no not really, and i suppose 9 months is an exaggeration but I have heard so many horrible stories about the last few months of pregnancy.

But have you been pregnant???

Currently am 7months actually. The last few months only suck because you feel ugly and your back hurts.  It's not awful though. It's actually kind of amazing.

Lol fair enough, and a late congrats : ) but I'm sure you would agree that you wouldn't want to repeat the experience knowing that you would be giving up the child after carrying it for all that time.

^ you STFU

I'm not telling people they should get fucked over or die or raise a child which doesn't eling in the first place (rape) if they get pregant. If you haven't bene in such a situation your opnion REALLY doesn't matter because you don't know shit. It'd be like me arguing with my professor in physics (im not a physics professor). I just STFU when he says something he knows about.

As I stated, if you don't know just stfu and don't stuff your ignorant and naive point of view down other's throats.

My point that this situation is avoidable!!!, you dont have to worry about this if your responsibility, thats unargueble, I dont have to be in a situation to understands, being a father scares me and thats enough motivation.

Oh yeah, what will you do when you/your wife is getting raped? Politely ask the rapist to put on a condom? Or if you learn that there's a 75% chance you/your wife will die and 25% that the child will too, do you politely ask the fetus to be nice and not cause compplications? Or what if unforseen complications DO arise and an abortion is needed to save at least your/your wife's life, do you politely wait it out (this last one is why partial-birth abortion ban infuriates me so much)?

It has nothing to do with being responsible, and since I'm guessing you have never been in any such cases your point of view is ignorant, naive, and very close-minded. Hence you need to STFU and stop stuffing it down people's throats who are, or will be, in such situations.

Thanks ;] Main reason I wouldn't want to repeat this is because I miss beer. Hah. But if I was in a bad situation I would definitely give up 9 months of my life rather than get an abortion..Though it would be hard to give up the child-I won't deny that, I feel that I'd rather give life to this world than take the life away of something I created. You people can say 'it's not alive till it leaves the mother body' but carrying this one inside of me-she is alive and it wouldn't be right to take her life. I didn't plan to get pregnant, but I took responsibility for my actions and luckily my boyfriend is on board as well.

My daughter is my world.

Where exactly did you mention that you are talking abuot being against irresponsibility exclusively.

BUt if even that's the case, most pro-life people (doesnt have to be you) are conservative, hate paying taxes for the "socialistic" programs, and then in the same breath tell people they have the option of sending their children to orphanages. Newsflash, but where do you think orphanages get their money from? Then people will bitch about the crime rate, another newsflash, but if a child has a bad upbringing there's a huge chance they will go down the criminal path. Why did you even bother defending that child if you just end up sending him to jail?

what if the woman is raped? is that avoidable in your world? what if protection dosent work, is that avoidable?

Isn't the number of raped women getting abortions a miniscule statistic compared to people who just want it, just because.

dunno what the statistics are on that, sorry, but my point is that sometimes people get pregnant without chosing to do so, and if women want abortions, imo thats there right

Pro Choice

Its not as black and white as some people like to make out

What happens if a women gets pregnant as the result of a rape? She should have to go through that every day for 9 months just to have the baby then give it up.

Its not up to the public to decide what one woman does with her own body. It grates on me why people want these pro life laws to go ahead, its not them that has to carry the baby.

Personally I am pro-choice. I am because I believe a woman has the right to decide if she wishes to raise a child. Also, I don't regard a featus as life until it can operate independantly from the mother (i.e. when it is born)

What's your view?

Im pro-choice, although i slightly disagree with your definition, I'd say that a mother has the right to decide what happens to the fetus until it is capable of surviving independently. Which is slightly different from when its born.

For example, i was born extremely premature at 29 weeks weighing just 2ib 11Oz so i couldn't realistically be expected to survive yet i did.

pro-choice.

If your baby is an accident, odds are the parents aren't ready to have a baby. You should have the right not to have a child if your not ready.

Yeah I know the old "he could have been a doctor" but not if he has terrible parents who can't afford to send him to a decent school.

True, but the best response i could think of to anyone using that argument would be "He could of become another Stalin".
