Forums - Nintendo - Am I the only Wii owner not into Wiiware and VC?

This my friend is when nostalgia take a whole new level.

When i buy a old game,

- I don't have to worry about it being defective or not.
- I save money on consoles and accesories purchase.
- I save money because i don't need to pay extras for a box/manual or because the game is brand new.

I could go on and on....Virtual Console ftw.

I can see why you wouldn't be interested in VC, but services like WiiWare provide some impressive titles that are must plays if you own the system. PSN, XBLA, and Steam all have some, and I'm sure WiiWare is no different. You're missing out by setting some useless boundary between retail and downloadable games.

Lots of people are adverse to it, but generally not for the reasons you listed (more for a preference for piracy)

Care to elaborate? I'm not sure what you mean by this.

I like it. While most of the WW games aren't very good, My Life As a King is the best Wii game in my opinion.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I'm old school, grew up in the arcades so I love getting some of the arcade classics from VC (and very excited about the new VC Arcade line)

WW hasn't produced much of interest to me, but there are some gems there.

i dont have the right internet for wiiware, virtual console, or xbl. but i do love to have the physical copies so i can brag about having them.

Really? My internet is terrible - I can't use xbl... but wiiware/vc are fine. I have satellite internet so like besides the massive lag I get with everything, I also have a three hundred something mb a day download limit. But the wii stuff is so small that it doesn't hurt much, as long as I don't go on a massive download spree.

I'm the complete opposite with the Xbox 360, I play Xbox live arcade games but no disk based games!

I have onslaught(it's pretty cool, I've played it like 10 hours the I've never touched it again)
I have Super metroid and played it 16 minutes and then never touched it again. It's so boring... Metroid is a game that's supposed to be 3d tbh even though it's roots are in 2d.

VC is dissapointing to me... there are a select few games I am interested in though.

One of them so far un-released is Majora's Mask... I hope it comes here soon.

I like more Wiiware games, but just haven't bought many yet because there are so many full Wii games to buy, and I don't have the money to buy them. Which in turn means I search for bargains... often finding full games for not much more than a Wiiware game.

I will be buying World of Goo sometime though.

I don't use them.

I would rather buy PSN games, but I don't use that neither. I prefer to just go in the store and buy something new.

I don't use them either.

I don't have Wii Points, and my Internet connection is shot.
