Forums - Nintendo - Will we see more games with the Conduit's engine?

We all now The Conduit has more impressive graphics for a Wii game.

So do you guys think/want more Wii games to use it's engine?

Do High Voltage sell their engines?

^ I have no idea... they at least should, to get some more money out of that.

They said they have no plans to let others license the engine.

^^They said there are currently no plans, but if there's enough interest after the game's finished they wouldn't be opposed to it.

So for now, no.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I really don't think so. I have seen a lot of middleware tools used on Wii games like any other, but very few full-scale engines, at least not since Red Steel used that UE2

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Certainly wouldn't complain. Looks nice but I don't think HVS will license it out and even if they do we wouldn't see anything for quite a while.

At this time HVS do not license out their engine. Say that HVS has already named and given a tech demo of their engine. By how they are presenting the game and engine. This would indicate the game is a tech demo and they will license the engine once the game is out and interest in a better graphics engine comes about. So I say yes it will be but not currently.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

They said that once the game comes out, they will license the Quantum 3 Engine.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
