Like the thread already says, is that considered piracy? Of course I mean by buying those games.
I myself modded my PS1, but I did it so I can play NTSC games, since lots of games, mostly RPG's never made it to PAL region.

Is it against the law? Probably, if your country regards circumventing copy protection measures as illegal, but you're unlikely to be prosecuted.
Is it morally wrong? No; you bought the game, you can play it.
It depends on what the local law says. It's not piracy in EU, but it's illegal to import products outside that haven't been "lauched" in EU by/with permission from the property holder.
This of course means that if the product is officially "launched" anywhere in EU, you can import the product everywhere in EU.

is it illegal to buy an exhaust system for a honda civic and u customize it to fit on mitsubishi lancer instead??...for those who didnt' know it's perfectly legal to do that...

) and also so I could have the game 6 month before the rest of us Europe people.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing (mostly)

No and bootlegging PS1 games is fine, the only ones making $$ off them is ebayers save for the PSN downloadable titles.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Actually, you just had it "before". Because Xenogears was never released in EU.
I don't know, but I'm pretty sure that tampering with the hardware is illegal in the first place
