What people? I saw that one guy who made an outrageous bet that it would, I don't think anyone else in the entire world thought it'd sell 1 mil first week.

Quiet, children.

I'll wait until week 2 before declaring a flop. Heavenly Sword had a similiar opening (about 10k more) and look where it ended up.

these are call of duty's WAW first week sales

8k less than madworld

and look at it now, its a million seller!

Man this thread dive bombed quickly

1) never call a Wii game a flop after 1 week of sales, you will look like an idiot if you do

2) Madworld was released in Europe for 2 days, and has not seen an Australian release yet

3) People did not call LBP a flop. Before it was released, Sony fanboys were overhyping it, claiming it would sell over 5 (or even in some cases) 10 million. We laughed at these people, but that does not mean the game was a flop

4) (and this isn't at the OP) Madworld is quite well suited to the Wii. In my opinion, it wouldn't have sold as well on the PS360 because it is too unique, too different.

5) Why did you create this thread? Certainly not to have a discussion, because in the OP you ask a question, then answer it and pretend that your answer is the only correct one.

You think smart people were predicting over 5m for LBP? Every PS3 games gets held to these crazy peoples predictions, and it's damn annoying.

Hardly, but you're trying to make this the same situation when you could fairly often see crazy predictions for LBP (albeit possibly from crazy people), while MadWorld has only had one single person predict it's going to sell amazingly well. It's just not the same, because, like it or not, there were several people hyping LBP up like it was the second coming of Christ. I'm sure none of them were the sensible PS3-gamers, but gamers nonetheless.
