yep true article. 360 has really held back the RPG genre in japan.

Edit: Its actually Microsofts fault for paying companies like square enix an namco bandai for exclusive RPGs that didnt do well on their system.

Actually I think namco for somereason is annoyed by sony (actually just the ps3). Square Enix .... I mean Wada is all about the money!



 

Just release these games on the PS3 already

Ya, I'm so sure people won't be buying Final Fantasy XIII! The fans have spoken!



 

During the last years of the PS2 they where already doing less good. Grandia III for example flopped on both the west and Japan, and so did Xenosaga II & III, but yeah, it's becoming obvious that the Xbox 360 is actually hurting the genre.

They still can revive the genre, but this usually happens at the beginning of a generation, and remember, the genre is just dying, not dead.
