Huge Colts fan. I've lived in Indy my whole life and followed the Colts since I was 3. I think our chances of repeating this year are pretty good.

Should be a fun first week. Those are my picks.

You expect the Packers to lose? How dare you...

Oh well, vs. Eagles it might happen.

Yeah, that was a tough one. Based on my prior Week 1 records, I should go only about 50% this week. Crazy stuff happens when teams are rusty.

One thing that helps Desroko in predicting week 1 is to pay attention to how many players actually attended camp during the summer.  For example: Every single member of the colts roster went to camp.  You can bet they won't be as rusty as say the Bengals, who had many players refuse to attend.

DA BEARS!!!! Since I was 9 baby!!!

I predict Hester will run it back in the first game.

2nd Oldest team in the league, born 1921 (Cardinals 1898)
2nd most championships (GB has 12, CHI 9)
Most seasons leading league in TD's (13)
Most seasons leading league in gained yards (12)
Most seasons leading league in rushing (16)
Most games won in a season (4way tie, SanFran, Minn, Pitts)
2nd most connsecutive games won (New England first by 1)

I could go on but see for yourself at the greatness of Bear's legacy at:
http://www.nfl.com/history/randf
Go to any team records section and Bears will be at the top or very close to it. Yes even in fumbles.

"The Bears won their first title the next season (1921) with a 9-1-1 mark..."

Read it if you want to learn about a real football team.

Too bad you have Rex Grossman :P I am really surprised the Bears didnt scoop up or draft another QB. At least give Rex the need to prove himself, I mean he had the most turn overs last year and basically lost the Superbowl. Seriously, pick up Leftwich or Culpepper when they had the chance, give Rexman a run for his money :)

I think you and Des need to change it to

Carolina Panthers at St. Louis Rams

I think ya'll lost confidence when they were preseason super bowl favs to 8-8 last season!  Watch out for Steve Smith.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

Hahah I just checked out the ESPN expert picks and none of them picked the Panthers either!
PS: Yes i want to see the Panthers win but I think we will be complete garbage this season. I'm gonna have have a low standard this year because it usually seems to work.

I don't necessarily think they will suck. I picked the Rams because they have offenses tend to get back into the game faster than defenses (the Rams have a very good offense), and because it's at STL.

The Panthers actually have a chance to make some noise in the division. I don't expect the Saints to be any better or worse than last seaso, but their defense is pretty bad. The Bucs should be better but not realy good, and Atlanta's going to topple. There's an opening in there.

^Yea they have a great offense, Marc Bulger is seriously the most underated QB in the whole league. And playing at home always has its advantages. If I wasn't a die hard Panthers fan I woulda made the same pick =)

As far as the NFC south is concerned I def think second is the division is what the Panthers will end up because yea ATL is gonna melt down and Tampa isn't shining to brightly as of right now, nice little QB carousel(dunno how to spell it). Yea the Saints have a good chance of winning the division with the Panthers taking a Wild Card but I can only see them winning 10 games tops.
