If the ps1 was $599.99? Would it sell,no, Because the ps3 has the Playstation name it has sold some 4.5million units thus far. FF XIII can save the ps3(it doesnt need saving yet) from loosing this gen to any console. All Im saying is that the ps3 should not be taken lightly, look back at history with the ps1, FF VII made its sales rocket(how is this statement fanboyish?).

Threw the greatest game of all time in my face thanks, its not the greatest game because every one has a different greatest game so that arguement depends on who your talking to.In my opinion the greatest game of all time for ME is Onimusha:Warlords a PS2 launch title and my first PS2 game i still play it 7.5years on and still enjoy to the full even though i have completed it about 10times.When FFVII was released the PS1 userbase doubled compared to the N64 userbase and sold the most consoles ever before seen and practically doubled the gaming userbase at the end of the PS1 era.

DragonQuest is on DS for atleast the next 3years(dev time) so that doesnt make a difference.

The notion that Final Fantasy VII "saved" Playstation is wrong...comparing N64 to PSX sales on this site, you'll find that Playstation was in the lead from day one - partly because it came out more than a year earlier.
That may not include "Others", I don't know if that data is totally up to date, but there's no denying that Playstation already had a big head start when N64 came out, and that never changed.
My prediction:
Wii - 67%
Xbox 360 - 17%
PS3 - 16%
