I agree its the biggest(even though i dont like Mario *gasp* have Nintendo arrest me for blasphemy)but the best if sales said anything then yes but innovation and new IP's serious lack of that in the Nintendo library.

End of 2014 Hardware Predictions (03/03/14)

PlayStation 4: 12-15million

Xbox One: 7-10 million

Wii U: 8-9 million (Changed 01/04/2014 from 7-9 --> 8-9 million)

And Sony is more innovative than Nintendo.

To get things back on topic, if by "the end of this gen" you mean in the standard a little over 4 years from now (since this gen has officially been in existence for a little less than a year), then I predict:

Wii: 70%
PS3: 15%
360: 15%

In other words, about how the PS2-Xbox-Cube divide was last-gen. The Wii will continue to sell strongly through all territories and become the de-facto home of most major franchises, as well as a host of new ones. The 360 will have most of its userbase in North America, with a minor showing in EU/AU and irrelevance in Japan. The PS3 will sell maybe 20 million through its lifetime, with most of its strength in Japan and certain EU territories; like the Nintendo of last gen, it will eventually come to rely solely on first- and second-party exclusives as third parties abandon it for the Wii and DS/DS2 in droves.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

@dtewi:
One game LittleBigPlanet.Thats all i am saying when Nintendo comes up with a game like that then you can argue the innovative point but until then its a waste of time.

You mean games like Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, Pikmin, Brain Training, Wii Sports, Batallion Wars, Metroid Prime, Luigi's Mansion, Donkey Konga, Wario Ware?

 I will give you Brain Training and WarioWare(esscentially a bunch of minigames but how you complete them is innovative).

AnimalCrossing=The Sims.

WiiSports=Its just a sports game.

Pikmin=Pokemon

MetroidPrime=How?

Like you? Back then the forums were more of a flamefest with all the angry fanboys flying around.

End marketshare (prediction):

Wii - 55%

PS3 - 27%

X360 - 18%

Most AAA games don't move many systems unless they're a well established IP. I don't see many popular franchises being released for the PS3 other than MGS4, FFXIII, and GTAIV, and only two of those significantly boost hardware sales. MGS is good, but based on the charts and user base for the PS3, I highly doubt it will sell any hardware.

The only popular thing I see for the 360 is Halo. Mostly everything else is fresh, with a few exceptions that will help sales, but not enough to give it a good portion of marketshare.

Based on the sales of Wii Sports and Wii Play, I have no doubt that Wii Fit will move some systems, perhaps not enough to make a significant difference, but it should sell well. Nintendo has a lot of things going for them right now, and if they keep up with the cheap cash-in games that are guaranteed to lure people in, I don't think sales will stop anytime soon.

This is, of course, entirely a prediction and most likely very opinionated.

@Soriku and dtewi:
Just because they use the Wiimote doesnt make them innovative they are still a platformer and shooter.
