ummm thats a good thing since now the developers will think twice before offering DLC that should have been in the original game >:(

Or they'll make the DLC 360 only...

not if they wanna sell games they wont.... selling and incompleted game that they need to patch later is a terrible trend that should have never been started.

What are you talking about?  Patches are small and not the huge worry (but still a concern), the thing that sucks is having to pay to place a demo.

Do you:

  1. Put a demo on the PSN, pay the money, and potentially turn people off to your game since demos have a good way of chasing away people but at least you're making the people who are already buying the game happy.
  2. Not put a demo on the PSN but get backlash from people for not having a demo and get bad press.

Umm if you are confident in your game.... and its a good demo (which is meant soley to sell the game not to "potentially turn people off to your game") i dont see why it would be a problem

That's Sony's way to save money for users. It's a good thing that they don't pass the cost of network down to psn users. If it works, ms might follow the same route.

I remember a time when PS3 fans argued about the 360 getting demos they didn't get. Well it has gotten better and Sony decides to pull this.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Sony seems to have gone out of their way to screw third-parties when it comes to HD game development. It's like every dumb mistake Sony has made with the PS3 ends up at the feet of third-parties.

I would rather them pay than me. Their games are already over priced.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

One more thing increasing PS360 budgets... Now if you make a 1-2 GB demo and it gets downloaded 2 million times on the PS3 throughout the lifetime of your game, you'll cough up an additional $320,000-$640,000.

Wasn't the RE5 demo downloaded 4 million times not too long after it got released? It would be nice to have more such data.

I like this idea. SONY gets money, and I don't have to pay.

now that you mention it, could that be why the demo was exclusive to the xbox? Capcom probably didn't want to pay the fees!

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

It was not exclusive to the Xbox! Unless you aren't talking about RE5.
