What about the 64DD add on for n64, that was released in Japan was it not?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_64DD  wiki says 15k sold in japan

The list is about systems and add ons that had a viable chance to become successful. Since the 64DD wasn't released outside of Japan, it's excluded.

Okay, but then they planned it to be succesful but failed miserably.

good list if you're only counting fourth gen and up. they did forget the neo geo though. That console launched in 1991 or 92 (don't remember which) at $650 and still holds the record for most expensive console ever when adjusted for inflation. (equal to 1030 dollars today, just edging out the 3DO's $1013) needless to say, it sold like crap.

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

Look at the bright side, SEGA pawned that list!!

N-gage? Game Gear? oh. just home consoles, but then why Virtual Boy? I guess it could go either way.

Virtual boy isn't quite handheld. I can walk and play my DS/PSP. I can't walk and play Virtual Boy.

Plus there is an article on the article about handhelds lol

Sure you can. You'd look very silly. Probably wouldn't be very safe, but yeah, it's possible.

32x is on there and it was only released in America.

I like the Dreamcast's list of games... f'n retarded except for Soul Calibur... Seaman was interesting, but Sonic Adventures was the game that sold alot of people on the Dreamcast... the first level still hasn't been matched on any 3D Sonic game

This list is total BS.

Where is Amiga CD32? Tons of cool consoles are lacking.

I hate it when game journalists know next to nothing about videogames.

It was released in Europe too. I know because I was stupid enough to buy one.

What can you do? At least it is a good example for sales for consoles you might have not known otherwise.
