I do love how they bitch about a lack of New Zelda, but also bitch about a lack of new IPs simultaneously.

One of the many reasons of why big companies don't care for fanboys.

@ mike - The balloon fighter doesn't have the advantage of being one of the most fun and powerful characters in Brawl

True. But both Balloon Fighter (in Animal Crossing for the GC) and Ice Climbers (in Melee) actually had cameos in other games before Pit.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

They are beating the GC lineup in regards to release. There really wasn't complaint towards Nintendo not realesing enough first party. This is just a matter of relativity in regards to focused released. Their fan games are up, but there casual games are way up. But way up from what. Nothing. There was none. So Nintendo is just making it balanced.

Also keep in mind that fan games take more polish time. They are generally epic in scope. While casual design don't require the same polish to be just as excellent.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Well, he did warn you that it was not going to be coherent.

The more I see this kind of stuff from "the Hardcorez" the happier I get?

Is it just me that feel this way?

I'm telling you, "snobcore" is the way to go. It fits all too well!

I don't know, I think "hardly core" is funnier.

I like "hardlycore," but lately I've taken to "fratcore," referencing the immature fratboy mentality of most of the complainers and what they want to see happen. Sure, the body type doesn't always match the mentality, but the two are so closely associated for a reason.

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

The author of the article needs to trim down his eyebrows or something. He looks like a Muppet.

i will play him a song on the worlds smallest violin

People like bashing Nintendo nowadays just use the "Nintendo abandoned the hardcore" simply because there are so many new games for the "casual" crowd.

Heaven forbid they use facts or compare this generation's console to previous when saying Nintendo abandoned us.

@darth

You're better than this, so can we just stop giving these worthless articles attention?
