Eh, who can blame us with such an awesome shepherd? They're like having religious revelations, each new thing does totally change what was once true, because the prophet has spoken
I wonder if GameStop is still open. I'm having a powerful urge to run out and buy Wii Music...
Invisible sarcasm tag goes here.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
Because despite all that, they make damn good games that actually entertain me beyond a superficial level
Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.
Yes, but only because sheep are fucking awesome.
P.S. You might want to add a sequel to Army of Two to your EA boycott sig. I know it's not entirely Wii related, (even though they're making a PSP version as well.) but trust me it's still an insult to humanity.
All I can say to this is "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
I am happy with my Wii. Maybe because I am settled and somewhat successful that I can be secure in knowing that the latest and greatest technology does not make for the best and brightest experience.

Gameplay over graphics. It had to be if you started gaming when I did.
I am Mario. I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |

This made me also think about Nintendo in general. Why do I keep defending them and playing their games? Probably because they made some great games in the past, just like there was a time when Sonic was great. But how much longer should I stick with them when they are not the same they used to be? Let's be honest here: Most of us (as in Nintendo fans) would have defended Nintendo no matter which choices perhaps, I don't have any reference on which to say "yes, certainly" though. they made this generation. Here are some examples: Graphics: Last generation we were proud to say that our console of choice, the Gamecube, was a technological masterpiece. Higher performance than the PS2, but still more affordable. This generation? Graphics somehow hit the point of being good enough, now that Nintendo has backed out of the race for more horsepower. Online: It had hardly any importance at all during the last generation, because aside from Sega's Phantasy Star titles, no games supported it. This generation we drool over Mario Kart Wii because it has lagfree online play. There are these friend codes and some other annoying things, but all in all, it's once again "good enough". The features of Xbox Live or PSN aren't really needed for us to enjoy online gaming (at least that's what we say). I don't say that, I would like some of the features of the other consoles... although to be honest the Wii does have most of the best features, it's just that for some reason only certain games have certain features, so most X360 games might have some online feature that is present in only a handful of Wii games. Controller: With the introduction of the Wiimote we started to claim that playing console games the old way was getting boring and that it was time for something new. However, a button press replaced by shaking the controller, like it is used in countless games, is hardly innovative. The pointer has some advantages, but it doesn't take away from the fact that the Wiimote simply has too few buttons to work with more complex games. Nevertheless, we Nintendo fans defend it as being one of the greatest innovations in gaming history. I love it, and to me some of the "waggle" is just nicer than pressing a button, spin attacks in Mario Galaxy, wheelies in Mario Kart, and many other things fit nicely with motions like that. So yeah. As you can see, we are happy with everything Nintendo does and would defend them no matter what. Some of us even bought Wii Fit and/or Wii Music, like the sheep that we are. But as a wise man once told me: "I have no problem with being a sheep as long as Miyamoto is my shepherd." There's certainly a lot of truth in those words for many of us. After all, Nintendo raised our sorry asses better than a parent ever could. Thanks for reading. |
Yes, I am bored
to buy or not to buy sonic and the black knight O_o
admit it rol, u r just waiitng for a sonic game with the word Kart in it :P
Improvements are caused by people who complain
Sonic did get bastardized as the years went by, haven't touched a Sonic game since the first one in Dreamcast when it was halfway decent.
There's always other dope games for Wii, its not the end of the world.
The fine line between between sarcasm and brutal honesty continues to blur.

1. You are dumb enough to buy yet another Sonic game, despite all the evidence against that being a good idea, and from that you conclude NINTENDO fans are sheep?
2. If you had to buy a SEGA game, or a Nintendo game, MADWORLD is on shelves now.
3. I have defended Nintendo's choices when I have agreed with those choices. I thought the purple lunchpail was a ludicrous design, but I loved that controller. Like so many others, I laughed at the Wii name, but relented based on overwhelming evidence. I purchased Metroid, Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess and Smash Bros, but I have not purchased WiiFit, WiiMusic, or almost any other such Nintendo published game.
4. Graphics? I played Pong, Space Invaders and Asteroids. I don't need no graphics.
5. Online? Don't care. I'm too old, most of my cohorts have stopped playing, and my wife only likes RPGs and Rock Band. I'll stick to playing with and by myself.
6. Controller: I love the controller. It's a brilliant idea, and in games like RE4 and Boom Blox it has proven its worth. But just as the invention of the plane did not eliminate the need for boats, so too will there be a place for traditional controls in some games.
