This is just my observation based on limited sample. I feel that Killzone 2 mark the first launch for Sony's first party block buster exclusive which has gone smoothly. There were no wide spread server issues like in Socom. No content issue like LBP which caused delay of game by a week and all hype was lost. Although marketing was not spectacular but it was present.. so a bit better than R2. 

So i believe that if Sony keep launching its future high profile game like this, then it is a very good leap in the right direction. Server should hold for first week atleast, so that the first time a person attempts to log onto the server he should atleast get some taste of gameplay.. if they r denied access then maybe they will never pick the game again to play.

Similarly launch dates should be fixed just once and should not be changed and hype should be created and more importantly should be maintained.. 

I still believe MS is way ahead in launching high profile game with even bigger hype and marketing..

SONY better have made the Killzone 2 launch that of a blockbuster

sales wise it is....wow it will overtake resistance 2 within its first month.....who would've thought

for me....it felt unlikely Killzone 2 would even outsell Resistance 2 as Resistance 1 was a much bigger success than killzone 1

Ofcourse I made those predictions well before the disappointing Resistance 2 sales

@ darth, KZ 1 sold about 2m with others sales, more than R1 would have been without its almost unique circumstances, and you don't seem to have KZ2 (or CoD4) what is your excuse!

Anyway, the only problem has been KZ.com has been dodgy, but that is getting better. Your stats also seem slow to update, but that is a minor niggle, it is just a fantastic game, and everything has gone smoothly

amazon is yet to deliver it

The last time I ordered from them when an Item was sold out it took them 30 days to deliver it

I hope the waiting period for kz2 isn't the same

But its Sony.. so nothing is impossible for them... it could very well have some system stopping bug.. But atleast this time it went pretty much smoothly.. so they do deserve some applause...
