We hardly know anything about *Heavy Rain. If I'm not mistaken, it's being made by the same developers that made Indigo Prophecy/Farenheit (DAMN good game). I think they have more experience making games in that genre, so I'll have to go with Heavy Rain being better than Alan Wake. But of course, that's just a guess based off their last game.

Heavy rain by far should be better. Game play is unique and it looks amazing.

Heavenly Rain must be the sequal to heavenly sword but made by the guys currently making heavy rain.. promising

I'm a big fan of Indigo Prochecy(Farenheit) and can't wait for Heavy Rain but Alan Wake looks incredible too.

alan wake will be better and sell better too, heavy rain will do ok. but heavy rain will be a niche game, because of its style of gameplay.

Of those screen shots posted in this thread Alan Wake looks marginally better than Heavy Rain. Have to wait for full versions of the games to be released before a through in depth comparison can be made on the two games head to head.
