Maybe I'm oldschool or something, but I remember back when losing all your lives meant starting the whole game over again. What pussies are actually crying about starting the level over? Usually you'd have to do that anyway just from losing one life.

I am just floored at how easy games have to be these days not to get criticized.

I tend to beat games faster than the hours the reviewers list, too. MadWorld just left my Amazon wishlist, and entered the "Wait for GameStop used, 2 years from now, or bargain bin if its sales suck" list.

I got 8-10 hours of cool summer blockbusters to watch with pals, for the same price. I'll buy MadWorld when its worth the admission price.

 

5 hours for the main game, you have unlockables, extra difficulty (God Hand difficult Hard mode), and splitscreen multiplayer.  Gamespot just makes terrible reviews for over 10 years now..

I can beat that in one sitting, don't really care about lockables. I have no real reason to play it again once I've beaten it.

Oh, or does that reasoning only apply to God of War???

 

As for the score, who cares, it's gamespot.

gamespot hates the Wii, the never give a high score to a Wii game, except if it's Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Smash.....

all other get below 8



don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

I'm disappointed that it's as short as it is. That's the only thing I don't like about this game.

My favorite Wii game (Mushroom Men) didn't review that well either - I think it has a metacritic in the 70's.



PC + Wii owners unite.  Our last-gen dying platforms have access to nearly every 90+ rated game this gen.  Building a PC that visually outperforms PS360 is cheap and easy.    Oct 7th 2010 predictions (made Dec 17th '08)

Yes, because we all know all beat-em-ups are at least 10 hours long ...

And starting the WHOLE level over when you lose your last life? How GRUESOME, Gamespot.

How fucking worthless can you get. They also said On the Spot would return in February, and now it's mid march and they still haven't given a real date. I think GS will be no more so very soon.
