i seen the ign video review he says "RE5 is a good game if you pretend its not resident evil" i think it should be reviewed more harshly
its not an action game its ment to be a survival horror it should lose points

That's funny. Hey I hear Superman 64 is a good game if you pretend it's oppisite day.

a good score for a normal game,,
disappointing for a numbered Resident evil game

isnt this the worst numbered resident evil game for ign ?? damn you capcom and your COOP

You're completely ignorant.

You can't compare games that are years apart, via numerical score, even from the same website. It's bullshit, and if you thought more about your posts you would realize it.

Since most of you are still unable to take me at my word, I will do you another favor(besides stating the obvious and feeding you excellent flames that you share with your friends and take credit for) and prove it with real life examples that I'm sure will hit close to home with your fanboy natures.

PlayStation 3 Game by Sony Computer Entertainment     IGN Score: 9.5

2-3 months later:

PlayStation 3 Game by Sony Computer Entertainment     IGN Score: 9.4

Now, another ignorant assumption you've made is that 9/10 is a poor score for a Resident Evil game. A 9/10 is never a poor score. You should take my word on that.

What would be a "good score" for you? A 9.1? A 9.2? 9.3 and up? What exactly is the part of the game that makes the miniscule(1 in 100, btw) difference, and causes the game to move from a 9.1 to a 9.2? You probably didn't even read the review, and since basing everyting strictly off a numerical score is widely known to be ignorant in the first place, then yes, once again you have proven yourself.

Another thing is your presumption that this was the lowest numerically scored RE(numbered) game from IGN(as if it mattered, which I've proved it doesn't). Again, incorrect and misleading.

How can one discredit themselves so much with one very small paragraph? I didn't know it was possible until you posted.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Well thats the lowest score i expected, reading this reviews seems like the reviewer really wanted to give it a score tad lower, but in order to keep the hype alive he gave it 90. Ill definately play this game sooner or later because i love RE series.

It's easy guys:
9.0 is a neutral score. Now if you're a die hard RE fan the 9.0 turns into a 8.0-8.5 and if you're a TPS co-op fan it turns into a 9.5.

that's a good score. i enjoyed playing resident evil on the gamecube and wii, it's unfortunate i won't be able to enjoy this experience.

ah well..

Nah, that's Resident Evil 0 (8.2).

Ironically, that's also the game that had "co-op" (kinda).

 Yes, that`s extremely ironic.....

9/10 is a bad rating? really?

Mwah, I don't know how to trust IGN reviews anymore.
A 9 for a hyped sequel is very low for them and the review reads as if they weren't very happy with it and wanted to give it lower, but didn't because of the name.

Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to it, especially the story. I'm just a bit annoyed there's so much focus on co-op. You should always be able to play a horror game alone without the gameplay being hurt.

Ratings and reviews are for those gamers that are new to games and not willing to take the time to try a game on their own accord. If any of you back in 96 picked up the original RE, you know as well as i do that there was no large hype nor much else that made the game stand out amongst the Playstation's large amount of games that were being released. As the years passed, i kept picking them up regardless of ratings *minus the first person shooters and disappointed with outbreak* and found each and every game enjoyable. as mentioned above, resident evil zero was the lowest rated game, however i found it one of the most enjoyable! I heard Chris Redfield was coming back and i knew that i would be picking up this game to see where he left off after Code Veronica. A 9/10 rating will not dissuade me, nor any other Resident Evil fan. I think people are making this rating business into something bigger than it should be. but thats just my thoughts.

Good score.
