What Ioi has done is spotted a massive gap in the market and taken it.

That's wonderful for Vgchartz, but how could someone from a respected publication use Vgchartz as a source? It just seems a little odd....

Not that I doubt the numbers, but seeing as how many gamers don't believe the numbers, it makes me wonder why people from the New York Post would.

I think (from an outside perspective) VGChartz seems just as accurate as NPD does. I mean, they both have inside contacts, and they both use statistics combined with estimations. The only difference is, VGChartz is totally free (and NPD charges don't they?)
