Average sales for RE5. Considering this is the Japan market, it's not too bad with the way the economy has been.

Inside Joke, but nobody seems to be getting it.

I'm getting really frustrated by the people going loco when a Wii game does low numbers, but the same people talk positive about these sales while the development costs are probably 10 times as high as RE:4.

Also, people complaining about certain wii games getting sales they don't deserve. Well i know for one after playing the horrible demo, this game doesn't deserve these sales as well.

AMEN! These are numbers that most Wii games can only be jealous about and won't even make it in a life time. There's a whole difference between a sale of only 10.000 = Wii game versus 200.000+ = PS3 game. If you don't realize that you're even a bigger fool.

 

I think there is a a truth to both sides, but I've never seen Neos defend a game who sold very bad and I've seen Onna complain so many times about games that supposedly sold very bad in her opinion while they were selling pretty good. So I have to take Neos side this time (and probably every time I never see myself agreeing with Onna). Anyway there are even more Ps3 games that can be jealous of these numbers.

Most likely RE5(PS3+360) will = RE4(GC+PS2) in Japan when all is said and done. So at least the series is not in a decline anymore, despite being so heavily westernized.

And I expected more from 7th Dragon considering the DQIX delay. Still though, it did alright.

I think RE5(PS3+360)will do about 100K less than RE4(GC+PS2). While RE5 on PS3 might reach what RE4 sold on PS2, it won't sell 220K on 360 in Japan.

I'm actually surprised by the strength of 7th Dragon. Didn't expect it to be that much better than Shining Force Feather.

 



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Wow, I didn't even expect half that. Everyone saying these sales are bad is a stupid fanboy, these sales are amazing.

The PS3 version alone has outsold the GameCube's RE4 sales within a day. There's just no spinning that.

Hmm the real question is how high PS3 & 360 will jump up this week.

PS3 version of RE5 should come in at 300k-320k, 360 version at 70k-80k. I had been expecting 275k/45k minimally and up to 450k for the week. Seems about right.

PS3 could be over 45k this week, 360 should be near 20k. Wii will be ~20k again
