Roy is in FE6, but you have to download the rom for that one, and plus its one of the harder fire emblem games.

I would recommend reclassing at lvl 20, right before the promotion. That way you can optimally cross-breed. say, if you have Ogma with great speed, skill, and strength, but your Gordin sucks, so you reclass him from lv 20 Mercenary to lvl 20 Archer, and you're just a drop away from having a lvl 1 Sniper better at it than the actual ones are.
Arms Scrolls help offset the fact that they start so poorly on weapons.

I don't know about promotions yet. My main question is, is there any reason not to turn Jagen into a Dracoknight? It looks good in every way, but I'm kinda suspicious about it.
My Bord has leveled up a ton and gotten really good, because I've had him use hammers on almost every knight in the game.
My Ogma is amazing too.

Then why did they just bring the DS version out? The Wii version managed only a measly 400K in JP+US, and the DS version is only 90k back from that right now with only 2 weeks of US sales.

You get more than enough Cavaliers and Paladins in that game, pretty much all of whom are better than Jeigan at his job (he comes pre-promoted, but his base stats at what could basically be considered level 21 are only a tiny bump up from, say, Frey, Cain, or Abel's stats at lvl 1. Having him do anything else is preferred, though the optimal choice is to sacrifice him way back in the prologue
Of all the Jeigans in Fire Emblem history, Jeigan is, interestingly, one of the worst. He comes pre-promoted, but with none of the ass-kicking awesomeness of someone like Titania or Sothe from 9 or 10 respectively
