Forums - Nintendo - Mad World gets a 9/10 from Nintendo Power

I think Mad World will have good legs due to word of mouth. Should do over 500k if NMH did well with no ads and this actually is plus seems more Western-esque than NMH, so...

I see at least 800k in America alone--this game has been getting advertised to hell.

Think EB would have that deal?  They're owned by Gamestop now, right?

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I think that MadWorld will do well in America too since there really is a lot of talk about the game.  Haven't seen too many ads about it besides GameStop and online.

Checked Gamestop a few days ago and they were doing this thing where if you trade in 2 select games Resident Evil 5 costs $19.99.  Unfortunately, most of the trade-in select titles are new, or fairly new releases.  The games they are accepting that aren't new releases are rather good games too.  Some noticeable titles were Super Smash Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, GTA4, etc.  The list isn't online so you should check your nearest GameStop for details.  Anyways, I passed up the opportunity for pre-ordering MadWorld for getting Resident Evil 5.  Hopefully it was a better choice

That's a horrible deal. EB games had a deal where you could trade in one of five ps3 games (all fairly new releases) and get killzone 2 for $10. That was a pretty good deal.

On topic, I can't wait to play this. Looks to be a real gem.

It most likely got that score because it was a port. Nintendo Power doesn't do to well with ports.

Wooh this and RE5 next week. Going to be great.

Great score, Nintendo's official latin american magazine gave it the same score.

Really? You mean posters in stores and a bunch of commercials? I don't really watch TV and I don't go out to game stores too often so I don't really know.

Btw, EB Games are owned by GameSpot yeah. Or they're pretty much the same thing.

Been seeing a metric ton of these lately:

yea Gamestop has been advertising this like crazy. I mean for the past few weeks its been Halo Wars, Resi 5, and Madworld as the big 3 for advertising. Posters, ads, etc everywhere in the stores. Of course they are paid to do it so obviously Sega is supporting the game well. Hopefully they'll have some great commercial ads.
