Capcom doesn't really have anything to do with the movies..I think they give it a green light, but afterward, I think the company that makes the movies (Screen Gem, owned by Sony Pictures) has more to do with the movies.

The resident evil movies are the 4th (Apocalypse), 5th (Extinction) and 7th (RE) highest grossing zombie movies.

Thanks for clarifying. The RE movie I was talking about is Degeneration. I think capcom made that one but I'm not sure.

Gotcha. That one didn't have a theatrical release and most people aren't really sure what it is. It's kind of like the Dead Space movie. Most people don't even really know that its out there or what it is.

I still think there is hope for a videogame movie. I don't think we will get any that are both critically and financially successful but will we get some that are on either side.

Actually I think a lesser known IP like Heavenly Sword would make a good film and Pixar should make a Ratchet and Clank film.

I LOL'd so hard in real life when I went to see the Street fighter movie. Chun-li is disgraced in that movie and it shows little resemblance to the video games :\ The dragonball movie didn't fare much better. It's a good thing my girlfriend got me into both movies for free, or i'd be out 20 dollars and 3 hours of my life.
