How is it that people keep bringing up the fact that PS2 was the least powerful system last time around in comparison to the Wii. Its like night and day, the Wii is a WHOLE GENERATION behind in graphics capability. The difference between the PS2 and say... ummm... the XBox is significant but not nearly as wide as the gap between PS360 and the Wii.

regardless of what people say about this petition and how re5 isnt comming to wii, 17000+ signatures is pretty impressive. Unlike those other petitions that number around the hundreds. Either way its probably not gonna happen, but i think some good will come out of this petition. Capcom at least now knows theres a favorable fan base on the Wii, maybe more support? Like re5 arcade edition?

RE5 Arcade Edition, jesus christ that's just what we need, we'd never hear the end of it from the xbots and playslaves who patronize the Wii's consolodation games.

Just found out that apparently that Capcom has taken interest in the petition for a PSP resident Evil if it makes 10,000 votes, which it already has. I see no reason why the peition for the Wii resident Evil which has more backing shouldn't be able to get their attention too.

No, they won't. I've already made it clear that no petition will ever get a game made. The nature of how this industry works doesn't allow for petitions to have input towards game projects.

Planning alone is done 2-3 years in advance. Even if they did decide that the petition warrants a port, we won't see it until years down the road.

No they wont. Capcom already know that Nintendo fans want RE5 but it just ain't happening. You may get another RE game though but Nintendo fans need to face facts that their hardware is going to prevent this game from ever coming. Simple as that.
