ok but....it wasn't obvious at this time last year
so I am going to pat my back on tht prediction
OVEr 40 million.....wow tht wud be bigger than pokemon.....the biggest non-bundled game |
It will be the best selling game ever. It's only real competition is Wii Play.
MKWii has a decent chance of becomming nr 3, beating 32M.

As much as I love to see how those games are performing, I think you are exagerating... MK Wii is selling amazing, but as you are mentioning, it is facing small drops in weekly sales, just like all games do. I think the next milestone is 20 million, and I'd call this the highest possible sales currently. Of course we have to talk again when it comes close to this number and maybe it is still selling steadily then, but we can't judge that yet.
The same goes for Wii Fit, although I'd take 30 million as the next milestone for that game.

Hmm... Let me re-think it. This was my old prediction.
MKWii started at 13592K this year. For the first half year, it should manage to sell ~ 150K/week. That's 3900K.
Then it should sell 125K/week for 3 months = 1625K
Then ~ 3500K in Q4 (5250K in 08).
2009 sales: ~ 9M
Grand totäle: ~ 22.5M
Doesn't seem very unfair... Perhaps 8M is more realistic though. Still, roughly 22M.
And this is before an eventual price cut. 30M seems well within reach to me.
Wii Fit.
Started the year at 13885K.
It should manage ~ 250K/week for the first 6 months. That's 6500K.
Then a bit below 200K/week for the next 3 months. That's 2500K.
Then for the next 3 months, it should manage 4000K.
Total 2009: 13M
Grand totäle: ~ 27M.
So, I overshot Wii Fit a bit really. It should beat 40M, but 50M is the "goal" rather than 60M. But this title is breaking all previous laws of video game sales, so it's hard to predict. Also, this one has a problem... Can it ever get a price cut?
Either way, you're definitely too low with your 20M and 30M.
