Came down from Nintendo's own press site just now, apparently. It's certainly close to the dates that were tossed around by some users around here

It also announces something called "Excitebots: Trick Racing" for April 20th. This is apparently the Monster Games game, an entry that builds upon the Excite franchise and utilizes the Wii Wheel

 

MEGATON time: The site also announces one "The Legendary Starfy" For DS for June 8th! Densetsu no Stafy!

Excite Truck had bad graphics and questionable controls.  I'm guessing that Excite Bots will have better graphics (how could it not?), eaiser controls, and much more exciting tricks.  Unless Nintendo is insane (quite possible), it should also have online.

Nice find. May's looking good too!

And I guess this kills the F-Zero rumors. Good thing, too, because while Monster Games is nice and fine, F-Zero deserves AAA+ developers (although it hasn't ogtten that recently...).

And Starfy's finally coming over? Interesting.

If by recently, you mean the last F-Zero GX, how can you complain about the greatest racer of the 6th gen? 

Anyways, this excite bots thing is the most interesting news to me. Nintendo is not only serious about wheel support, but giving more of those gold plated "Bridge" titles to do it with. I'm expecting this to be a game that everybody loves.
