PSP 2 is unlikely as Sony is working very hard on many new PSP games(atleast for the next year anf half)


as for PS4:

please have

2 Gig Ram
2 Gig graphic cards
improved version of cell
6X blu ray speed

by staying with cell and blu ray Sony will keep the price low while achieveing insane graphics beside the game devs will be familiar with the PS4's artitechture


if Ps3 with 256 mb graphic card and 500 mb memory can do killzone 2,imagine what PS4 can do with those specs.

Yeap, I suspect that both the PS4 and X720 will have 4GB of total system memory. An improved PowerXCell 8i based chip and a good Nvidia GPU for backwards compatability would set Sony for another good system. 

Also, PS3 has 256MB of system ram and 256MB of video memory. I wish it had 756MB...

Yes. Absolutely.

 

The PS2 had a better game library at this point in its life. The Wii has been more successful.

A  time period in which the PS2 had :

26 Games over a 90+ Rating on Metacritc.

93 Games between an 80-89 Rating on Metacritic.

 

Let's take a look at the entire library of the Wii thus far shall we?

8  Games over a 90+ Rating on Metacritic.

34 Games between an 80 - 89 Rating on Metacritic.

Nope. Not even a little.

Objectivity isn't your strong suit is it?  

 

I don't care to debate with someone who is completely blind to the facts and general consensus.

 

The Wii is one of the best selling/worst software consoles ever created.  That's not me being anti-Nintendo.  I love Nintendo but their software lineups have been weak for quite some time.  There is a very logical reason for developers/people in general to not be overly excited for anything Nintendo releases.

There is a reason Nintendo gets the 'fad' title.  A lot of it has to do with selling well despite having very few good games and people buying nothing but shovelware.  

 

Historically speaking,  I don't think Nintendo has a shot in hell of being #1 next generation if they don't seriously upgrade in a lot of ways. The good news, is that since they live and die off of their video game investments the Wii might provide them with enough revenue to compete with Sony/Microsoft atleast for the next generation.

 

 

Thank god Sony isn't going to fall into that same trap and I certainly hope Microsoft doesn't either.

If PS4 is as ambitious as the PS3, it will be Sony's last console.



PC + Wii owners unite.  Our last-gen dying platforms have access to nearly every 90+ rated game this gen.  Building a PC that visually outperforms PS360 is cheap and easy.    Oct 7th 2010 predictions (made Dec 17th '08)
