Honestly from what I have played the idea that they think this is just more of the same prime is sort of surprising to me. They did a very good job of adding entirely new dynamics and puzzle elements. They could of just used the same old puzzle elements and the same old upgrades but they have tons of new upgrades, with complimentary new puzzles tied into them, with tons of new features,  and in general there is tons of new stuff.

I can see how this is just a boring sequel with the same old Metriod stuff and not much added...I have to wonder if they will rate Mario down since its just a sequel and its same old platforming. /sarcasm

 

I don't care too much about the scores since they don't really matter all that much for a strong franchise like Prime but I do mind when it seems like they hardly played the game or possibly don't have much experience with the series and were making assumptions? Hell I don't know whatever it is the idea that its just a plain sequel seems very wrong to me.

Too similar to previous versions? Yet they gave madden 08 the same score. Right.

Twilight Princess and Corruption for sure deserve it.

I haven't played Bioshock nor did I read the Gamespot review, but from what I've heard and read about Bioshock, the game is an outstanding experience which is rare nowadays, definitely a game which should get a 9.5 on Gamespot.

Based on the things they criticized about Corruption, Halo 3 shouldn't get more as an 8.5 as well. We'll see in a month how this one turns out. The problem with Gamespot is that some of their reviews are contradicting, especially the Twilight Princess Wii and GC reviews.

Hmm ya bioshock is great, im suprised at gamespot and edge for their scores

And yes i do agree with you on halo to a point, maybe critics like muliplayer games? i mean warhawk looking to get pretty good reviews and its ONLY multiplayer

The only way halo should beat metroid is if the single player is really really outstanding and has a much much better story then halo 2

well I have to admit even though I haven't played this game yet it's gonna be hard to agree with this. They gave hunters a better score, and...

Mercury Meltdown Revolution got an 8.5
RE4 Wii edition got a 9.1
Super Paper Mario got an 8.8
Twilight Princess got an 8.8
WarioWare: SM got a 9.1

It's so inconsistent, words don't describe.
I'll wait to make a complete judgement on this game, but it's hard to believe.

Thats what they said about it till it gave metroid a good score, now they picking on gamespot.

Bio got a 9 and MP3 got an 8.5 i don't see what the problem is, bio is by far a better game in every way. Did you guys even watch the review video, they said exactly why it got the score it did. Of course Halo3 is going to get a better score, it has online play.

Halo3 will have a replay value that is 100x better then MP3, people will play it for over 1000 hours online. MP3 cannot match that, If it had online i'm sure it would of had a score of 9.
