That's links to the relevant Metacritic-page added to every game as well (click the metascore number, or, for non-exclusives, the listed % score) -- the game title will take you to the relevant game-page on this site so you can check estimated sales and what not (if they are listed).

I will reserve judgment for myself and Metacritic is a poor mans excuse for having others make there minds up for them.

I disagree. Metacritic is an aggregate review site, and it has its uses. Sure, some people may simply use it to make up their minds for them regarding a particular title, but surely that's their problem, not the problem of Metacritic per se. The site provides a service and nothing more; what we, as consumers, choose to do with it is another matter.

My website is inexplicably down today, so the update will be edited into the OP once I've resolved what on earth is up with it (check the OP to see what I mean; it's a complete mess!).

Anyway, here's the updates for 29th April:

  • Killzone 2 for PS3 drops to 91 from 92 for the third time.
  • Little King's Story exclusively for Wii enters the chart for the first time with a Metascore of 88.
  • Guitar Hero: Metallica on the PS3 drops from 90 to 89.
  • Guitar Hero: Metallica on Wii drops from 88 to 85, and looks far less safe than it did last week.
  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 on the Wii drops to a precarious 85 from 86.

That leaves the chart looking like this:

  1. PS3 with 6 titles (3 exclusive)
  2. 360 with 5 titles (1 exclusive)
  3. NDS with 4 titles (4 exclusive)
  4. PC with 3 titles (2 exclusive)
  5. Wii with 3 titles (1 exclusive)
  6. PSP with 0 titles

Finally, these are the titles with less than 10 reviews that may soon be hitting the chart:

  • Braid -- PC -- 89 -- 5 reviews
  • Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box -- 360 -- 87 -- 7 reviews
  • Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box -- PS3 -- 89 -- 9 reviews
  • Comet Crash -- PS3 -- 86 -- 6 reviews
  • New Play Control! Pikmin 2 -- Wii-- 87 -- 4 reviews

I expect PSP to move up the list rapidly come the holiday season.

Its gonna be an exiting year

Absolutely, the number of quality PSP games being announced is surprisingly awesome. I'm expecting it to do considerably better as the year progresses. Then again, many expected Resistance: Retribution to do better, and it didn't.

Yeah, it seems few handheld games are rated 85+ compared to home console games, but with all the games the PSP is getting, it has to get some on the list

IMO the best game of 2009 so far is KillZone 2

Agreed.

IGN will have an inFamous review up soon, that'll put it on track towards being 90+ on Metacritic (hopefully)

This is the update for the 7th May. Unlike last week, my website is working again, so I've updated the OP as well. So, to the two changes from the last week:

  • Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II, has slipped from 86 to 85.
  • Resident Evil on the 360 falls to 85 from 86.

That leaves the chart looking the same as last week:

  1. PS3 with 6 titles (3 exclusive)
  2. 360 with 5 titles (1 exclusive)
  3. NDS with 4 titles (4 exclusive)
  4. PC with 3 titles (2 exclusive)
  5. Wii with 3 titles (1 exclusive)
  6. PSP with 0 titles

Finally, these are the titles with less than 10 reviews that may soon be hitting the chart:

  • Braid -- PC -- 88 -- 6 reviews
  • Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box -- 360 -- 87 -- 7 reviews
  • Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box -- PS3 -- 89 -- 9 reviews
  • Comet Crash -- PS3 -- 86 -- 6 reviews
  • New Play Control! Pikmin 2 -- Wii-- 85 -- 6 reviews
  • Plants vs. Zombies -- PC -- 91 -- 9 reviews

We're having an early update this week due to impending deadlines at my end. So, here we go for the 12th May update, which is small, but has a significant change:

  • Plants vs. Zombies for PC enters the charts with an impressive Metascore of 89.
  • Rhythm Heaven for the NDS falls off the chart, dropping to an unlikely-to-ever-climb-back-from 82.

That leaves the chart with a change for the first time in many weeks:

  1. PS3 with 6 titles (3 exclusive)
  2. 360 with 5 titles (1 exclusive)
  3. PC with 4 titles (3 exclusive)
  4. NDS with 3 titles (3 exclusive)
  5. Wii with 3 titles (1 exclusive)
  6. PSP with 0 titles

And, as always, these are the titles with less than 10 reviews that may soon be hitting the chart:

  • Braid -- PC -- 90 -- 7 reviews
  • Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box -- 360 -- 87 -- 7 reviews
  • Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box -- PS3 -- 89 -- 9 reviews
  • Comet Crash -- PS3 -- 86 -- 6 reviews
  • EVE Online: Apocrypha -- PC -- 89 -- 4 reviews

Put Infamous in your radar, please, since is very probable that will be 85+ after 10 reviews.

Rigth now is 90, but the tendency is going down. I expect 87.
