hmm.. that's only about half of what I thought was possible for the 360 hw in SO4 release week

Nice boost, I was hoping for a bit more, something around 30K, but 24K is still very impressive.

I hope it can keep those sales up for the next month although there isn't much japanese gamers can look forward to in the near future, gamingwise.

Wow, that's a pretty good boost. Not Final Fantasy level, but more than I expected.

360>Wii>PS3, I suppose. Then next week, PS3>Wii>360.

I think life time sales should be around 350k-400k in japan , SO3 end up at 550k per 10 million PS2 consoles. I think it's a pretty good sales for SO4 on Xbox 360 consoles in Japan. This sales number will reach up to 1 million world wide within 6 months depend on sales number in NA.

Well I went to a few stores on the weekend and I didn't see one copy of SO4 anywhere for sale. They were sold out at every place I went to.

Unlike the SFIV "sell-out", which I could find in some stores and none in others, SOIV seems to be really out of stock.(at least on the weekend, as I haven't checked since then)

Nice opening week in Japan for the game...I'm getting it this week, so I'll add my 2 cents to the mix...The Mass Effect 2 trailer really got my blood boiling, so I'm excited about this.

I guess we will see SOIV again next week, probably lower numbers, but still selling decently.

I predict about 50K unit sold next week if stocks get replenished.

These numbers are very good for the 360 but unless US+EU picks up the slack these are very bad numbers for the series. These numbers include bundles?

If so, the game failed to reach 50% of the launch week sales of the previous two games and just 50k more than the initial game in the series.

I personally do not think this can be spun into good news for S-E. I doubt they are celebrating this.

It is kind of pathetic that we think those hardware sales are good. If it sells like that for a whole year it will only sell 1 million units that is kind of pathetic. HW sales for consoles in Japan are really sad.
