AllAll said: Wait, nintendo supporters hate hard on FPS games and shooters in general. Why are you defending Metroid so much now that it has become more like a FPS them before.
Gamespot "Yet Corruption's focus on refined FPS mechanics and general sense of familiarity keep it from being as special as the other Prime titles. Just like Resident Evil 4 would have felt different--and arguably worse--had its controls been stripped down to a simple FPS scheme"
And i really love how when people say EGm is anti PS3 they get ridiculed yet alot of the wii supporters are doing it to Gamespot right now, for a 8.5 (great)! |
Because I trust IGN's statement above Gamespot's.
You'll still explore and travel across epic environments, but re-traversing the locations is made just a little easier thanks to several additions. The first is that you can fly between planets or even to different locales on a single body using Aran's Gunship. This inclusion alone eliminates so much of the excessive cross-world back-tracking and as a bonus it's very pretty on the eyes because the flying cinematics are downright gorgeous.
Meanwhile, the title delivers everything a Metroid fan could hope for, including spectacular environmental puzzles, epic boss fights and intense combat, all wrapped up in a package that spans multiple worlds and is filled with re-traversal exploration.
Excuse me for believing the site that has scores exactly in line with industry average above the site that gave Twilight Princess an 8.8...
Edit: and as I said, I don't think they are biased, I just think they are sensationalists. They score big games low occaissionally in order to increase site traffic.
