Super Metroid is one of the most atmospheric games ever. When I played it the first time around, it scared me senseless. The level and character design is genius and the ending is epic. It brings out the treasure hunter in you and you always have new places to explore. There is no lack of qualities to this game, and very few real flaws. The only major game design flaw I can think of is that there can be a bit much trial and error to find secret passages sometimes.
In short, I really, really liked this game. I'm glad you enjoyed the experience just as much as I did, RubangB.
