wow SF is no where as popular as it USED to be. A wii version will guarantee double the HD sales.. but that version would probably look more like SF EX series rather than SF4

Right, because fighting games have done so well on the Wii.

SSBB

Castlevania Judgment? Tatsunko vs. Capcom? Bleach: Versus Crusade? The entire Naruto Wii series?

Care to explain all of those games sold so poorly?

They didn't have a plethora of well known Nintendo characters and the pedigree and guarantee of quality that Nintendo brings.  Put all that in Street Fighter and you have yourself a winner.

So, your saying that they just have to make Street Fighter good?

I'm just kidding, but I just am not a fan of Street Fighter.

@ Soriku

So we have one fighter sell well and the rest sell badly, so that means that this game would instantly do best on the Wii?

Serious answer:

Castlevania isn't largely popular anyway...and a fighter? I don't know how many people expected that to sell very well. (Was this supposed to sell well????)

Bleach - All Treasure games bomb.

TvC - Probably because Tatsunoko isn't as popular a brand as...SNK or something. It's not the worst selling one. And being on the Wii won't magically make it sell less. (japan only)

Naruto - Say what? The entire Naruto Wii series bombed? lol no. One of them sold 840k, and the rest we don't have complete data for them. Plus, Naruto games in Japan aren't largely popular compared to NA. The other one in NA sold 230k. No flops.

I made an answer :P

Anyway, I wasn't the one who said SF4 would instantly sell better on the Wii. And if it were on the Wii I don't think it would sell a whole lot better.

I know you didn't claim that. I wasn't talking to you, and you defended the guy who said that.

And we are talking about Japanese sales in the Famitsu thread. I know Naruto Wii did well worldwide.

Then in Japan's case only, Naruto should be...

Naruto - Naruto fighters don't sell well in Japan anyway. The recent Naruto for PS3 sold 70k only and the Wii ones sold better than that.

A SF4 on Wii would have a good chance at outselling the PS3 and 360 versions separately, but I doubt it'd double PS3 + 360 sales combined.

There we go. That's a reasonable claim.

I just think the bolded is ridicoulous to just assume.
