After reading the review I can understand why the scores. For instance the dialouge in that top screen shot and when he says you get promoted to captain after the other captain ....breaks his arm? I used to LOVE JRPGs but I've become more accustomed to WRPGs this gen. The combat in this game looks great and might redeem it but if I'm not playing a JRPG game for its story I should just go play Ninja Gaiden or DMC4...
By the way. For the people saying we haven't had a truly great JRPG this gen, have you played Valkryia Chronicles? I haven't yet but I heard its amazing. I'm going to be renting it soon.

That's the problem. I thought companies had managed to improve their localization efforts. But they haven't. S-E are so inconsistent in quality of localizations.

Yeah don't go around comparing SO4 to those games just yet, main reason being this is the first score for SO4 from the rest while the other games you mentioned got a 70 but the rest being huge scores. If the rest of the reviews give the game high then you can go ahead with your sarcasm, not now though.

Yeah it was a joke. The review was pretty informative. I am waiting for other reviews but I was not a fan of the 3rd one in the serie so I probably will not like this one aswell. yeah I am a fan of SO2!

I have. And was largely dissapointed. This was one of the few cases when reviews have failed me.
