Did Nintendo increase production? I am curious due to the high sales and the large inventory sitting on store shelves. (I have never seen so many Wiis in store as I have over the last 2 weeks. Example: My local bestbuy had 24 of them sitting on the floor on Friday. I did not count them on Saturday, but the stack looked the same. Gamestop had a stack of Wiis on Saturday with a sign that said Wii in stock. They had a stack last week with a sign like that also. I have never seen that at Gamestop before. Walmart and target both had Wiis in their display. Couldn't count how many since they keep them in the bottom of the locked game cases.)

Personally I think the numbers are being reported as sale through when, currently, they are not.

Anecdotes much?

Just a bit. I know it is not necessarly the same everywhere, but it does not change the fact that I can go to any random retailer (where I am that is) and pick up a second Wii. Would have been much easier than buying one from a back ally dealer who bought 10 of them to profit in 07. I live in a city of 120000 that also acts as the main shoping area for numerous small towns in the area. A total of around 150000 to 200000 would likely be the potential market here. Maybe we have just reached our saturation point for the Wii.

Sony is in big trouble in NA...

Xbox 360 numbers suck! They should have sold at minimum 112,000 (20k short) because the Arcade is half the price of the PS3 and awesome logic suggests that items which are half the price should sell twice as much. We must also ignore the Premium SKU because having a HDD is so last gen with the Xbox 1 so the only SKU which I respect is the one without a HDD.

Copied over from the other thread.

Tease.

Let's wait for KZ2 before we say anything bad or unessesary about the PS3.

Generation 8 Predictions so far.....(as of 9/2013)

Console that will sell most: Nintendo Wii U

Who will sell more consoles between Microsoft/SONY: SONY

Honestly, what is Killzone going to do?

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

Killzone 2 is going to rescue me! I am so bored of not playing shooters on the PS3...

(Multi-plat preferences are up to the individual, just saying this before anyone tries to tea-bag me for the above comment)

What can Killzone really do? I mean there are already so many FPS on PS3 that releasing yet another one is not going to move too many consoles.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

Its going to bump the PS3 by a 20% increase WoW for the first week!, And then its only going to drop 5% the following week and then back to the same level!

All in all, KZ2 should sell approx 20,000 more PS3's in all of NA!!
