Hmmm that's only 30% of the pre-orders. Is this going to be one of those titles that has huge day of Sunday sales? Given the improvements over the original GC title, I would think Ring of Fates would sell better than the GC title.

Crisis Core will obviously sell more than FF:CC; its the prequel to the best selling final fantasy title ever. There is a whole army of fan girls and boys ready to eat up anything FF7 related but I dont think that is case of ff:cc. I think there is a negative perception around the series that lead to low sales (still pretty good I think).

Maybe, just maybe, Japan is getting a little "Final Fantasied" out ...

Again, it's the SAME first day numbers as a gamecube game. That's considered low. It's lower than FFIII by 60%+, and about 33% lower than Revenant Wings.

It might struggle to hit 500k. 500k is a good number, but to me, that's still low for a FF game. And again, considering it's a DS game, not a GC game and will sell the same.

According to Shinobi, the first shipment of FF:CC is about 240k. (About half of shipments are sold) Based on the movement of preorders, 120k isn't so bad number. There is no doubt SE didn'd advertise it...

It is really getting annoying how some people think they are more clever than Square Enix.

Answer: No they wouldn´t.

yes square is relesing games more frequently then ever, and these wii and DS games have lower budgets, and will ultimately combined make more money tha FF main series games ever will
