Forums - Nintendo - PS3/360 games that should come to Wii

I'd love to see Fallout 3, Valkyria Chronicles, Mass Effect and Team Fortress 2 come to Wii. I don't think any of those games would suffer anything except a visual downgrade (please correct me if you think I'm wrong).

Well Mass Effect might get a visual upgrade with hopefully less stuttering! To be honest Fallout 3 might suffer a bit with a decrease in draw distances effecting the gameplay in quite a major way, but I honestly don't know enough to say whether or not these games would work properly

RE5 would be great. LBP wouldn't work so well though.

I did not mean that, I meant that when you shoot someone in the head, the realistic way in which they slump back and the blood spills is meant to make you feel bad about killing that person. In this game, there are points where you get to choose whether or not to kill someone, and you are meant to feel bad for killing them. There are later points where you have to choose someone to kill, and it is quite a difficult decision, and you do feel it more seeing the brutality and cruelty of what you have done. As for the aiming, I would assume you would use the motion controls to steer the car, and then how are you going to shoot? Or you have to use the nunchuck to steer the car, and then shoot using the wiimote, but that sort of defeats the point of the Wiimote if you are not going to drive the car with the nunchuck. Most people have no problem with the dual analogue system, I think it is great

Also this GTA has got rid of many of the pop-up problems (PS3 version played) and I think returning to the Wii would cause more problems with draw distances. I think a port of SA would be far more appropriate as GTA IV takes a much darker tone, which would not work as well with inferior graphics. The more cartoony GTA games of old would be a better fit

It would simply not have the convenience. I have added many people from here, so I can just look through my existing list to look at their levels rather than having to add everyone again

Drive with the analogue stick, and shoot with the wiimote is absolutely a viable control scheme for the Wii. I don't see how it defeats the point of the wiimote at all. Forcing the motion sensitivity to be used at every corener makes for shitty games. The infared pointer, and waggle when useful is what would make the game better. Still I agree with you about a different GTA being better. I mostly say this because I hate the direction GTAIV went. I liked the heartless mass murdering of civilians.

I have no ide what your last few sentences are supposde to mean. I think it is a response to LBP but I am unsure what you are getting at exactly.

My last few sentences are saying that I don't want to have to add my friends again especially for that one game, I want to just have the convenience of having my friends there already. Anyway, LBP is not coming to Wii so it does not really matter

I can understand that. Honestly, I don't think LBP would work all that well on the Wii either. I just have different reasons. I highly doubt any of the games on that list will ever make it to the Wii. Some sequels or spin-offs could (or should in some cases) be Wii bound though.

Fallout 3 would be my choice

I'm still stumped on how Street Fighter 4 isn't on the Wii. I'm absolutely 100% sure it would have the ability to outsell PS3 and 360 versions combined if done right.

That said, I would love to see Halo on the Wii.

"It's not that a Wii version would be impossible," [said producer Yoshinori Ono]. "And we're not ruling anything out, but looking at the main target we're trying to hit with this game, users are more likely, from where we're sitting, to own a PS3 or 360 than a Wii. Are there fighting game fans who own the Wii, especially in north America? If there are, we're more than willing to do something for them. But it seems like a safer bet to go with the PS3 and 360, and the PC is more a European-centric thing, so we don't want to leave regions there out."

Now, don't go a throw a fit saying that he shouldn't generalize the Wii. We all know the basic make up of the Wii userbase. It's getting old to say "Why isn't game X on the Wii? It would SURELY outsell the HD versions".

I think Ono is right too. It's just like saying "How many shooter fans are on the Wii?" Then it becomes apparent that most shooters should stay on the HD consoles.

You should all be realizing that the Wii is selling NOT because of games like the ones that "should" be on the console.....otherwise they would be. When you see that it's Wii Fit and the like that sell 10+ million, instead of games like CoD, you'll understand why these games aren't on the Wii.

That Capcom guy is wrong though. Fighters sell better on the Wii than on PS360. What's the best selling fighting game this gen? Super Smash Bros. on the Wii. Dragonball Budokai Tenkaichi 2 & 3 sold almost 1.5 million combined, which are good numbers for a second rate fighting series. Also, the best selling street Fighter is on a Nintendo system: the SNES. The Street Fighter games are on the Wii's Virtual Console, and selling well.

If Capcom would aknowledge this, they would see there's major potential in bringing Street Fighter to the Wii. But they screwed up.

Not sure about individual games, but here are some series' that I think could turn out to be cool on the Wii.

Assassin's Creed
Saint's Row
Devil May Cry
Ninja Gaiden
Ace Combat
