Tom Chick has more credibility than most people who write over the Internet, and he has been doing this review business a LONG time.  What you see with him is something he wrote.  People should read the entire thing, and then base their own decisions on it.  What I made out that Tom said:

1. Your main character is too short.

2. The graphic engine is AWESOME, but the art direction is bland and too samey.

3. The script SUCKS, as does the plot.  It is considered worse than Gears of War 2.

Maybe I missed something.  People should take things he wrote as an opinion, and move on.  He has just one opinion.  If you liked the demo and want to get the game, then get the game.  Who cases what he says.  Who cares if you are one of a few people who like the game.  It is what you like.  (Resist urge to make a Miner Dig Deep comment to make a point here.  Err, can't.  I like Miner Dig Deep.  Doesn't matter if the game gets bad reviews, I like it).

So if it's only his opinion, we should just move on, and we shouldn't even care what he says, why post this? It seems like the only people who are trying to prove his validity or defend him are the type of people who probably don't like this game in the first place. It's not very subtle, ya know.

Tom Chick has been around for years and he has reviewed a lot of games.  Penny Arcade gave him credence, for example.  I posted it, because it was a counterpoint to the hype.  I also notice he made a comment about the environment being bland, which was a concern I had about GG's decision to pick Helghast as the basis for the sequel to KZ2.

lets get one thing straight godot. just because one persons opinion differs from anothers doesnt mean one holds more water.

but in this case one persons opinion differs from mass majority. i think ill go with the 150 other people who like the game. who arent all afraid to lose their jobs because some those people run a site just like this one right from their homes.
