there is no need for that question cause some people say they play HD more and some people will say they play the wii more.. there is no point

Maybe you could ask VGChartz users how many games they have bought for each one of the systems they own?

Well it's a small sample so u could say it's non conclusive. Furthermore, u've conducted this on a sales site, of course many core wii gamers will be on this site since the Wii is winning. Many sony & microsoft guys frequent other forums. If u did this poll on say ign or gamespot, u would get different results.

doesn't it make sense that Wii and HD consoles are neck in neck in this poll seeing as how the userbase of the HD consoles combined is about the same as the Wii userbase worldwide? The findings of this poll are what one would expect based on the sales data, however I do find it pretty interesting that you reached that close of proportions using a sample size of only 93.

it was a pattern that was through out this whole poll so from what i saw it wasnt changing 1 wii for one HD  2 for wii 2 for hd...

Yeah, this is a biased sample. Two main things:

This site is focused on videogame sales. It seems like, since the Wii is dominating, more Nintendo fans gather here. When your console is winning, I suppose it's easier to look at the numbers...

This is a videogame website. The type of people that frequent gaming forums, are also the type that buy the niche games like JRPG's, critically acclaimed flops/unpopular games (Okami, NMH, Zack & Wiki). Look at the game collections, for example - 500 users claim to own NMH, a game that sold 390k. Mario Kart Wii is owned by 807 users here, when there are 14.5m copies sold.

In short, we don't represent the average core gamer.

So, I'd say you can't really draw those kinds of conclusions from such a poll. Not that it was useless, it is interesting...

Yeah, send an email to those devs, telling them you have concrete proof of the Wii's fanbase from a poll with 97 votes...

Yeah especially since there are a good number of console players that don't go online/maybe not even have internet, much less go on gaming forums and sites.
