For me Madden. Not because I hate Madden or anything, i think it's mediocre but can be fun. Just because I think having an exclusive makes them weak. If they had a rival they would be forced to make the game a lot better and more in depth.

With Madden an exclusivity gone a few companys would all try and fill it's shoes. They wouldn't be as good to start with... (well except maybe 2K sports version) but they would have compeitors and all likely be better then Madden in a couple years time.

Mortal Kombat. Street Fighter 2. Halo (the story just wasn't happening in the second one).Dance Dance Revolution (Seriously, atleast give it a new name or something. I love the game but buying a new one every year is just ludicrous).

Might as well just say you hate Nintendo and want the whole company to die.  It's not like those games aren't original in each of their new iterations.  

Mario since he's been in 3D: Basic castle environment, a tropical paradise with a waterpack, hopping through varrying gravities in space.  None of the games are even remotely related to each other.

Metroid: You've apparently never played the Prime games >_>

Zelda since it's been in 3D: Basic Zelda environment made into 3D, a world of islands where Zelda is a pirate, a game where half the time you play as a wolf...

Final Fantasy I'll agree with.  Not because they aren't different betwee each game, but because they lack quality ever since VI.

Just because I have the balls to admit that I'm tired of Nintendo recycling their old characters doesn't mean I don't like them as a company. I've accumulated a pile of games for all systems but frankly after 20 years it's time for some of these guys to retire and pass the torch. Hardware is solid, software, still waiting. And Metroid Prime was fun until I beat it the third or fourth time.

For the Halo fan, when the developer of a game admits that it's not acceptable after it's been releasesd I'm under no obligation to felate them with praise for the product that they themselves are not proud of.

And I'm adding 3D Castlevania games to the list. It's not working Konami. QFT 

First of all, you can't say QFT to your own statement.  That makes no sense at all.  Second, what's wrong with recycling characters if it's always done in a fresh and inventive way?

Oh also, other then Madden, the reason why I don't want any other franchises to die is because they still have a market.

If Nintendo stopped making Mario games tommorrow the day after tommorrow someone would develop a game called "O'Brian" about "O'Brian O'brian" an irish electrician who while working on some electrical work gets zapped to the Flower kindgom where he has to save Princess Sunflower from the evil Stupa and his Frog Minions.

Games franchises will die when the market dies as it should be. Otherwise, why deny people the games they love?
