Rhonin has answered your 4.5 million question. About the Japanese sales, VGC is an independant tracker, they don't have exactly the same numbers as Famitsu and Media Create (which have different numbers on their own as well), besides, what's 20k? Seems like VGC has tracked it well.

You are comparing shipment numbers to actual sell-through.
