Wow at people in this thread talking crap on Valve because K2. Listen I've played the hell out of the K2 demo and its amazing but neither K2 or GG come anywhere close to Valve. Period. Graphically K2 is amazing and the gameplay is rock solid. However Valve INNOVATES the entire industry with the material they put out.

Well to be fair Bungie is also posting massive profits but yes Valve is in a completley different league than GG.

Regardless of what Newell spouts in interviews; doubting Valve as a developer is beyond folly, they are, in my opinion, the best single house videogame developer in the world today.
Valve, Blizzard and Nintendo are the finest we have, in that order.

well twesterm (from my understanding is a dev)says most games dont sell 300k lifetime. id assume the games would break even and make profit before that mark. now even if we assume thats the break even point and even if we increase it by 100% (which is a shitload) then break even mark would be 600k for the 360. now ports only cost 1/10 so break even mark would be 60k. i can say with confidence l4d would turn profit on ps3. even if it gets realesed a year from now
Valve make best shooters out there, Half Life 2 is one of the greatest games in history, if he does not want to develop on PS3 he has right to do so, he doesnt have to like PS3, Websites like Hiphopgamer are giving sony fans really bad name
