Forums - Sales - 360 for 150$ would outsell wii?

If 360 also had a wimote and a load of games that support it it could be on par with wii sales, otherwise no, it will most likely stay slightly lower but a lot higher than PS3

No.
And MS won't lower the price anytime soon because they're already losing like $80 at each Arcade X360 sold.

Do you have any evidence of them losing $80 per arcade unit? no, didn't think so.....

Bankruptcy wouldnt do well for MS's Xbox division top it off the Wii would still Pwn it to the ground

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Ever heard about iSupply? Yeah, I bet you have. Please do not insult people here fooling around.

I don't expect this to happen ever. Like, never ever. Unless this is true...

Nintendo has actually stopped producing the Wii, and they actually produced 20 million extra Wiis in December. Then, those 20 million all get sold while the price stays at $250. The 360 has already seen a price drop to the $150 level and since no more Wiis will be sold, it will outsell the Wii.

That's a very realistic story, don't you think? That's like saying a $1.50 Whopper will outsell a $2.50 Big Mac. Or a $150 Zune will outsell a $250 iPod. Or a 150 pound wrestler will have an advantage over a 250 pound wrestler. Or saying most people would rather do 150 push-ups than 250 jumping jacks. It won't happen.

The price drop came with the Jasper chipset wich is much cheaper to produce and likely a much more efficiantly designed MoBo.  If I'm not mistaken though the iSupply numbers were earlier moddles... perhaps even Xenos or early Falcon.

The price drop would boost sales that is for sure. Maybe for a month or so it could be on par with the wii depending on what games come out for it. Week to week though it just wouldn't be able to hold out.

Like others have said it isn't the cheapest console that sells the best.

95% of gamers don't know they are noobs, the 5% who do won't be noobs for long

This is ridiculous. How the hell r you going to argue the HD validity of a "next gen" system thats as cheap as that. People don't believe what they get is quality at that price, RROD though irrelivent, must be an issue

No, people want the Wii and that's about where we are at with this argument. The same place we were at in 2007.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
