I've seen a lot of people curse on this site many different ways.

Some will make the background color and text color the same for the curse word, some will add !@#$%^*&^ in place of a vowel. Some just don't curse in general.

Is it a rule that you can't curse?

If so, why?

Don't ask such  !@#$%^*&^ questions

You're allowed to curse, but not in thread titles.

I think you can curse openly, as far as I'm aware anyway ... I'm always calling bullshit on some posters ... posts.

I don't know... I think if you curse all the time, you may get a ban. Never happened to me though, but I don't curse too much. A curser should come here and give their opinion.

Quem disse que a boca é tua?

Qual é, Dadinho...?

Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

  1. Thread titles must be work safe, descriptive and on topic. Keep the language in thread titles clean. We don't restrict language usage in posts (up to a point), but thread titles are a different matter. Whatever luridly foul things you wish to say about Luigi, you can find a work safe euphemism for the title. Also, letter substitution fools nobody, but strings of unpronounceable symbols are acceptable. Now for the descriptive and on topic bit. It's very simple - use the thread title to sum up or describe what you are saying in your post.

The website tries to be family friendly, so excessive cursing will get you a ban, but you can curse if you want.

EDIT: I have seen 1-2 people get banned for cursing, but they just had a string of profanities with no real point to their post.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I think it depends how the cussing is used. If your calling someone down to the lowest then you'll be warned or if not banned. But if your just randomly talking and just so happen to say f*ck, then it's no big deal. (I cencored it because theres women on this site and I'm a gentleman lol)

You will never find a single example of me using profanity in any of my posts. The only reason people use profanity is because they aren't creative enough to say some different shit.

i think it should be allowed, except for thread titles

I sometimes use the F and S word and I've never been warned/banned for it. Fuckety-fuck-fuck-shit!
