if by april 2010 then I agree with u....2009 I don't see it happening (except possibly in Japan if sales don't rise by summer)

would the wii be selling any better in japan if it had wiisports bundled with it like everywhere else?

I actually think they should do the above. if they gave you like 1000 free wiipoints when purchasing the wii, it would raise awareness , BUT they would have to paste on the box somewhere something like "Free WiiPoints included to use in the Wii shop channel, for downloading classics from nes, snes, n64, ect." or people might not even know they have them lol.

I think Nintendo only cut its estimates not to gloat in this economic recession.

A price cut in Japan is possible in the first half of the year, but i doubt we will see it in Europe or the US until the end of the year at the earliest.

I do like the idea of giving Wii points when purchasing a Wii though. They are doing it with the DS in Japan, and i think it is a brilliant strategy to give people the incentive to go online.

Let me get this straight.

They are still expected to make more money for the FY than last FY yet it's considered a YoY drop in profits?

And these guys think the reduced profit projection is based on the anticipated price cuts of the PS3/X360?

AND these bozo's think a price cut will increase profits that were harmed due to an exchange rate?
