While one of SEGA's big core titles for the first part of 2009 will come with a preorder bonus, the other remains under consideration.
NintendoRAW reports that those who pre-order House of the Dead: Overkill will be able to get a 32-page exclusive graphic novel known as "Prelude To An Overkill."
There are two ways to get this: One is to give Amazon your $46.99 and get a link to an online digital version, or go three bucks more at GameStop and get, best as I can tell, a physical copy.
Guess which one I'd pull for?
Meanwhile, Nintendo Everything says that High Voltage Software Chief Creative Officer Eric Nofsinger has also spoken of a preorder bonus for his company's game, The Conduit, but though they're "thinking about" some perks for the game, he's not committing to anything yet, as "details are still being ironed out."
He also goes on to note that The Conduit should receive some pretty significant advertising, with gaming tours, billboards, commercials, and GameStop kiosk demo discs being considered as ways to promote the title.
Nofsinger also says that the group is aiming for a "T" rating from the ESRB, though they won't mind if it instead pulls an "M" instead.
...wait, can demo kiosks feature M-rated titles? That just sounds like trouble. I guess one thing would answer if they do the other.
And finally, for the audiophiles out there, Nofsinger says the developers are working hard on it, and that High Voltage is "going to out do every game on the platform in terms of audio" and that "it will be at the highest possible quality."
I love how high these guys aim; now we just have to see if they can hit that mark.
