Forums - Nintendo - Ocarina of Time or A link to the past?

Do you have a classic controller? If you only have a GameCube controller pick Ocarina, it works great with it.

I don't know if SNES games work that well with GC controls, I downloaded Super Mario World and it just doesn't work with a GameCube controller, it just doesn't feel comfortable because of where the buttons are placed, I don't know if it's the same with A Link to the past though...

If Phantom Hourglass is the only one you've played yet, I'd do A Link to the Past first.

Ocarina of Time later.

*note: My three favourite Zelda games:
(1) Ocarina of Time
(2) A Link to the Past
(3) Phantom Hourglass

No, I don't

Is really that different without a classic controller?

Yeah, I'd say both. But I recommend that you play A Link to the Past first.

I guess, I played SMW with a GC controller, and it didn't work that well... it was hard to run becauseof the GCs different button layout. And for SNES games I think Classic Controllers work better.

I have no idea how it works with ALttP, they are really diferent games so it could be different. I think it has no problem...

But I would choose Ocarina, n64 games work naturally using GC controllers, and Ocarina is an awesome game...

If you don't have a classic controller, then get one. They work great and make games for any old-school system feel like they play better than they did 10-20 years ago. I'd even go so far as to say that gamecube games would play better on a classic controller if you could do it. I would recommend buying both games, but if you have to choose one then get ocarina of time.

I'm not a fanboy, I just don't enjoy dual analog control.  It's d-pad or wii-mote for me.

the conduit has changed the way wii play games.

I know.  I'm sick of the puns too.

I say OoT. It's one of my favourite 3D games of all time and most everyone's who's played it enjoys it. Either game you pick, you'll end up with a great choice.

Ocarina of Time if you can only pick one, but both are definitely worth the money
