Forums - Microsoft - My controller keeps disconnecting

I have 2 Xbox controllers, and my spare one never seems to work right

I got my first one with my Xbox in June, and then I got the second one, a black one, soon after, and pretty much ever since it has been dodgy with its connection. There is no problem with battery, but it just turns off while playing, and then when it is turned back on it works for a little while, it seems to be quite random.

Do I need to contact Microsoft's support service?

It could be the size of the AA batteries you are using some AA are slightly shorter then others.

I use the official M$ rechargeable battery

It happens to me a lot
change the battery and it will work good

I would say bring it back to the store and they will replace it.

@ I love giggs, when I was last playing the battery was on 2 bars, and it still does not work properly at full charge

Maybe the back is a little loose?

I have the same problem. At around 2 bars it does start to disconnect. I change the batteries and it works much better. Also I have 2 wired controllers and they constantly disconnect.

Well changing the batteries help mine atleast.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)
