Uh... H3 didn't have Elites, either (that you fought, at least). This takes place during the Covenant civil war--the Brutes have taken over the main positions. All the Elites care about now is their revenge.

i was always against becoming friends with the elites..... the brutes just are not as fun to battle not as hard to beat... and feel well stupid... sigh ... cant there be rebel elites that still hate humans.... stupid brutes ....though its still better then having the arbiter hang around, and even when a second player takes the arbiter over not getting the energy sword that was pathetic... I hated that if you tired to kill him he came right back... and if you did kill him hed come back and kill you.... on top of that he was pathetic as help..... he was one of the things that made me put halo 3 at the bottom of the chain in single player story mode..... the original halo is still king there....
