I know that, and I'm not mad at you. It just reminded me of something that really makes me tick.

I swear, I am going to make this bannable soon. Not even because it breaks any rules, just because it's so annoying.

Not sure if you noticed, so I'll mention it just in case - that comment was in the link. 11ht11 didn't add it in himself.
That analyst is crap, by the way. Just look at his unrevised estimates. Hell, look at his revised estimates - the PS3 continues to grow at 2010, while the Wii drops down 25%?
8 million Wii's in 2009 worldwide?....
they did sell 12 million Wii's in 2008 just in America...
Where the hell do I sign up as a analyst?? I need the easy money.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing

That was the sound of someone missing a point. Atma: Seems to happen a lot on these forums. Sometimes I wonder why we all indulge in these predictions, since they're often so counter-productive. Whatever.

No, it was the sound of someone missing my sarcasm
I'm agreeing with you. If they weren't competing, then Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest weren't moved to another platform--they just don't exist anymore
this guy speaks no sense at all. i can easily predict that a three consoles will sell more than 8 million in 2009.
From what I can gather.... this guy was originally predicting this:
US sales in 2009 / 2010:
Wii - 6 million / 4 million
PS3 - 6.25 million / 6.5 million
360 - (no exact figures, but presumably very similar to his current predictions)
And his revised predictions are now:
Wii - 8 million / 6 million
PS3 - 4 million / 4.5 million
360 - 4.25 million / 4 million
---------------------------------------
I think I remember laughing at these attrocious predictions whenever they were originally stated.... after all 2008 sales have been approximately 11 million for the Wii, 3.5 million for the PS3 and 5 million for the X360.
Which means he is predicting a drop of 3 million for Wii for 2009, followed by a further 2 million dropin 2010.
for the PS3 he is predicting and increase of 500k for each year.
and for X360 a drop of 750k, followed by a further small drop of 250k.
Is it me, or are the majority of "analysts" always overestimating the PS3, and expect the Wii to fall flat anytime soon... as for some reason, even with some recent predictions... the PS3 is going to somehow make a magical come back and outsell both Wii and X360.

I think this Creutz guy is the new Pachter. Except the old Pachter isn't going anywhere, so now we have TWO Pachters.
*shudder*
Yea i love how he had the PS3 outselling the Wii in the US in 2010 up until just now. He had PS3 sales at 6.25 million for 09 even though it only sold slightly more than that since launch, but he expect it to do that in a single year.
currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X
Note that a projection of 4 million would mean that the PS3 would see absolutely no sales growth at all.
Well ok some... since we're including Canada and South America, but PS3 is weakest in those two areas.
So i can't see PS3 growth being that low.

That annoying thing is I don't think these so called analysts have any idea what a joke they are in the gaming community and seems like no one tell's them how badly they get their 'predictions' wrong time and time again.
