Nice list but missing some of my favourite classic authors.

I would recommend The Picture of Dorian Gray as a good read, it's short & spicey and highly enjoyable (if a bit morbid). For cheery fairytale, try the two books by Frances Hodgson Burnett, sadly, they do not have 'A Little Princess' which i thought was the best of her children books.

If you're really into classic books though, why not try getting them from the source at Project Gutenberg.

It is the largest online repository of public domain classic books, I highly recommend 'The Count of Monte Cristo' by Alexander Dumas, which is my favourite book of all time.

Well those books can't go on my DS, so that's a problem right there. There's no way I'm going to read a novel on my computer.

Oh come on give it a go :p

Oh well, lets hope there are homebrew solutions eventually.

'The Picture Of Dorian Grey' of course.

'Tales of Mystery and Imagination' is pretty good too, and so is 'Last Of The Mohicans' although you've probably seen the film.

I'd go with the Importance of being Earnest.

It's short and to date the only play that i've read... and possibly only book to make me laugh out loud.

No Mario goes fishing? Shame!!!

I kid. Alice in Wonderland would be my pick there. I might consider getting this but think the DS screen might be too small for me to use as a book.

Just buy the actual version of Count of Monte Cristo from Amazon. That book is worth its weight in gold. Edmond Dantes is so full of win and awesome that it puts all other fictional characters to shame...... when combined! I cannot recommend that book highly enough. But if you read it, read the full 1.4k page version, the others are just crap and miss some really damn good points. I read an abridged version back when I was in 7th grade, it wass good but meh. Then when I was going into 12th I read the full 1.4k version. HOLY SHIT. It completely blew me away.

People say playinig WoW 16 hours a day is bad? Yeah well, try reading a book for 20 hours a day with you waking up 4 hours later because you really just can't live without reading the book. The best part is that you can read while going to the bathroom or eating as well! I really can't even begin to praise this book enough.

I'll second that.

Samuel Clemens is spinning in his grave.

Onyxmeth, might I suggest Sir Walter Scott's books? I do so love a good story. Rob Roy is just fine, just fine, though Ivanhoe you're probably familiar with.
